About Greta
The Journey is Long and Often Winding
Greta Harman is a board certified educational therapist in Orange County, California who provides 100% individualized, research-based and brain-based interventions and programs for children who may be struggling in school and/or home. It is her passion to help children build confidence and develop self-esteem along with remediating and solidifying the skills that are most challenging for your child. Whether they be academic, cognitive, social-emotional or self regulation skills, Greta helps each child learn HOW to learn; placing a significant emphasis on teaching each child to be mindful of each successful step taken through the long and often winding journey. Greta helps each child become a champion of learning, even when it is challenging and frustrating. Greta combines research-based methods and programs with patient, 100% individualized instruction to help her students achieve their goals. Her students learn to advocate for themselves and feel empowered by their learning style strengths all while building their weaknesses in a positive, safe environment. With this new self-confidence and a solid learning foundation, students build on this foundation, new and more difficult skills which pave the way for a lifetime of success. Out of her office in Costa Mesa, Greta works with children of all ages and abilities who each have unique learning profiles that Greta builds an intervention program around. Greta works with a collaborative team including:
Lasting Success Children who struggle in school or at home often feel frustrated, sad, anxious and worried. Greta specializes in the interplay of emotions and learning. Her students begin to understand how their own brain works and how to harness the power of their very own, built-in super computer! Children who work with Greta learn to embrace the uniqueness of their hard wiring by gaining a deep understanding of their learning style through which they gain feelings of competency, and develop strategies for success in the present but more importantly, for a lifetime. Greta's students demonstrate improved foundational processing skills, literacy skills and study habits, better self-awareness and self-regulation, changed attitudes, and greater resilience. Best of all, they learn to love learning again. |
